mad and mud

Morning: still looking like Spring is about to come...
Afternoon...
Actually it was raining all day long, again, so when it started to snow, I was about to cry...
On my way back home I decided to try to look at the bright side of life and to cheer myself up by taking some nice photos of spring flowers...
The nicest flowers were (of course) on the top of the nearby hill, a very slippery hill, covered with mud, but I only found it out later...
Well, you can guess the rest of the story: climbing the hill, a spectacular fall down, splashing mud around, children (walking by) laughing, me covered with mud, becoming mad..
I took the photo anyway :-)

Spring is slowly arriving in Bergen

My teacher of Norwegian announced that we have a wonderful Spring this year... well... Of course she has been living here for 25 years already so she knows better...
Anyway, have a look at the weather forecast:
But on my way to work I found first snowflakes :-)
And the ducks in the nearby pond are hiper-enrgetic and super loud in last days :-)
Yep... Beautiful or not - Spring is coming!!!! :-)

Mum in Bergen

Long time no writing, but I have a very good excuse: my MUM was here!
Her visit went fine, but, as usual, thousands of questions had to be answered, including:
- Oh, aren't you tired of following courses and passing exams in your age?
and:
- Do you feel the age difference between you and other students from your group?
...

TBBE also survived the visit :-)

completely unimportant paradox

When I change a battery or a bulb in our car I am asked: why TBBE could not do that?
If I bring home 10 huge and heavy sacks of wood, some people say: oh, it is not for woman! Leave it for men!
After digging our car out of the deep snow people ask: you did it yourself? Oh where was your man?
Really? Can you drill? Do you really know how to change a wheel? And what pressure should be in the tires? Man should take care of that!!!!!

Right... It looks like I am a woman all year long except of the International Women Day!
Just two men remembered me...

Anyway, to all the Women: Happy Women Day!!!!

Model of happiness

Let's summarize:
- our flat looks like after tornado (no cleaning in last 3 weeks),
- kitchen looks like.. well, without dishwasher probably we'd have to eat from plastic,
- fridge: not too many things, except of light and a couple of things, that we were not hungry and/or brave enough to eat,
- reserves of pasta, rice, sugar, coffee etc. - gone (including "Chinese soups"),
- wood for fireplace - just about to be finished,
- our Polo - covered with 40-60cm layer of snow (we still haven't bought shovel!),
- my leg depilatory is broken,
- I have just turned 30,
- TBBE left me alone with all that mess and flew back to Poland......
- I am very, very tired....

And it feels so GREAT!!!!!! Marvellous, excellent, just perfect!!!!
I have been waiting for this moment for so looong time!!!!

TBBE is handing in the draft of his thesis on Friday,
this Friday :-)

Chances, that our life will come back to normality, are growing.....
